But really? Possible. Probably. I *want* to write. I likely need to write. But I just can't. I can't muster up the energy or strength or desire. I don't want to talk about what's going on, but I just don't have it in me to pretend that everything is hunky dory.
I'll be back, but I'm doing the things-suck-so-I'm-withdrawing thing. Please forgive me.
*smooches*
Hey I just saw your comment over on X's site. Sorry to freak you out re: birth control and migraines but um yeah ...
ReplyDeleteI don't want to hijack your comments here so I am happy to email you some things. But if you have a history of migraines, especially with visual impairments, vomiting, numbness, etc. you should NOT be on birth control that contains estrogen.
I see that you're one fine neurotic mess so I don't want to freak you out. But your average OB-GYN is trained in surgical skills to rip babies out of wombs. A practitioner that specializes in family planning or focuses most of their practice in gynecology (as opposed to obstetrics) is often well-versed in birth control methods. As we all know, docs are VERY quick to write a prescription for the pill they think is en vogue and all the rage. Do some homework about what works for your lifestyle.
IF yours works for you, I suggest you track your migraines. Write down every single thing you did that day - how much water you drank, meats and cheeses and wine consumed, how much sleep you had, what was stressing you out, where you are in your cycle, etc. A lot of migraines can be prevented/treated with behavior change.
So, I DON'T want to freak you out, I swear. I just think women do so little research when it comes to birth control. So long as it "works", then it works. But it puts us at risk for lots of other things.
So much for not hijacking your comments. ;-)
