- Last Friday, I learned I will no longer be employed after December 2nd (see kicky ticker to the right! Also? That 45 days is actually only 27 *working* days. O_O).
- That same day, I learned my brother had gotten some really, really shitty news that will negatively affect him for the next year.
- The following day, we learned that the company Chebbar left in order to go back to school will be closing its doors in a couple of months. Whoaaaaa... Dodged a bullet, right?
- Well, sort of: his dad still works there. Yeah.
- Oh, and because he'll need to come up with money, he's looking to sell his house; because he's not sure what he'll be looking at rental-wise, we have to be prepared to get rid of Chebbar's dog. *cries*
- Last night? Taylor's boyfriend's truck was stolen, with pretty much all of his worldly possessions inside: tools, laptop, camera, etc.
If you need me, I'll be curled in the fetal position under my desk.

If she feels like she doesn't have a choice then you should know that she's exhausted her options. While I agree that people should consider carefully when dealing with pets, please don't judge.

ReplyDeleteChibi and Chebbar CAN'T have the dog at their apartment. She's discussed that before. It's not a light decision that if Chebbar's dad has to sell his house and the new rental has a no pets policy, the dog obviously can't live there. I'm sure it is breaking their hearts to even have to consider it, but they are approaching the situation realistically.
Hopefully, it's not something they have to deal with and everything can work out. If not, they are not giving the dog away "like that", and I'm sure they will do the best that can to find the right home for him.
Please SERIOUSLY consider NOT giving your dog away. Your dog should be family. Would he ever get rid of you if all he can afford is a small studio? There are lots of places that accept pets. You just need to make the decision that giving your pet away is NOT an option and I'm sure that you will find something. After all the love the poor dog has given you, you can seriously just toss him like that? Think about it.
