(Although, if you immediately and automatically jump to the ASSumption that a disapproving comment MUST! BE ABOUT! YOUUUUU!, maybe what you did/said wasn't cool, hmm?)
To be a) publicly called out, b) privately chastised, then c) discarded by multiple people over one interpretation of my comment - without getting MY SIDE OF THE STORY - is a slap in the face. However, I'd rather have a red cheek and know the truth than continue to be "friends" with people like this: clearly these people don't know me well enough to be called my friend any longer.
ETA: Amusingly enough, my "conversation" is now one-sided as the other party deleted all replies to me. I won't delete my words: I put 'em out there, so I'll STAND behind them.

People can be so exhausting sometimes. Oz was only a sad, lonely old man. Dorothy kicked arse... be Dorothy.
ReplyDeleteNot a CLUE what this is specifically about, but I certainly am familiar with the concept. Good for you for being accountable for your words - it's a quality FAR too many people do not have - especially on the internet.
ReplyDeleteCrazy attracts crazy. Walk away from the nutjobs and come to the dark side. We have cookies.
ReplyDeleteYou have more of a clue than you give yourself credit. ;)
ReplyDeleteCookies?!? I LOVE COOKIES!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI kinda love that - might have to be my new motto: be Dorothy. <3
ReplyDeleteI was afraid of that. Just so you know Chibi, I was summarily prosecuted by some in that group for "slanderous" comments someone made anonymously on a "hate" website (Me? Anonymous? Are you kidding??), was unfollowed on twitter and facebook by "leaders" in that group, and have had my comments (supportive/not controversial) deleted from blogs written by members of that same group. It's all about the ILLUSION for them ...
ReplyDelete*snort* CLEARLY the one slinging accusations doesn't know you very well! Illusions and blinders - I don't think some would be able to see the truth if it bit them in the face. Sad, really.
